Vince McMahon randomly showed up to WWE Monday Night Raw this week as he was spotted in Hartford, CT, a short trip from Titan Towers in Stamford, CT.

This came after he had not been backstage at WWE events in recent months. Following his return to the company on the Board of Directors in January, where he elected himself back on the board, his daughter, Stephanie McMahon, walked away after serving as the co-CEO with Nick Khan.

The day after WrestleMania 39, it was officially confirmed that the Endeavor Group would acquire them. The plan is for WWE to merge with the UFC to form a $21 billion dollar sports and entertainment company.

While Triple H is still in charge of creative, McMahon has been making changes to the product but doing so remotely and not attending shows since the Raw after WrestleMania, where he was in Gorilla.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that McMahon was with several WWE executives at Raw but not running things. Instead, Triple H did, although there were a lot of changes made to the match and segment order of the show.

“At first there was a lot of talent scared and not happy about McMahon’s involvement but the reality is everyone accepts that he’s now the ultimate decider and when the merger [with UFC] takes place, Ari Emanuel [of Endeavor] basically put it in place that it will remain as long as McMahon wants it to because he will be the person in charge of WWE and the final decision maker,” Meltzer wrote.

Fightful Select reports that regarding the possibility of McMahon being backstage at more shows in the future, talent is still “on guard.” The belief, for now, is that McMahon decided to work remotely because he “realized the chaos that just being backstage caused.”
