The influx of WWE main roster talent appearing in WWE NXT continued this week with Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza appearing for the gold brand.
Since the NXT 2.0 relaunch in 2021, WWE has used main roster talent in NXT to attract viewers, with AJ Styles, Natalya, Dolph Ziggler, and others making the move. Even after NXT 2.0 reverted back to being WWE NXT, this practice has continued. Earlier this month, WWE CEO Nick Khan spoke to the Hollywood Reporter about establishing the brand.
"We think NXT has the viability to be its own standalone brand instead of just being a developmental system - a third brand, if you will, where you can see crossover from our superstars on Raw and SmackDown to NXT while our young talent develops there. Once we get all of that situated, then we will look at other nights of the week to develop new content as well."
During this week's NXT, Scrypts and Axiom faced off against Dabba Kato and in something of a change from the norm, the two smaller Superstars used their numbers advantage and got the win over the larger Superstar. Post-match, Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza jumped in the ring to attack Scrypts and Axiom, re-establishing themselves as heels.

In a backstage interview, the duo spoke about the NXT tag team division and said that none of the gold brand teams are on their level. It appears that the duo will be a regular part of NXT programming moving forward.
