WWE has locked down a new trademark for special programming of NXT TV that will take place over the course of the next two weeks.
WWE filed for 'NXT Gold Rush’ on June 9th with the USPTO to trademark 'NXT Gold Rush.' The filing is intended to cover the categories of a show about professional wrestling.
The name dates back to 2012 when WWE had Dusty Rhodes announce a "Gold Rush" tournament in NXT to determine the first-ever NXT Champion, where there were four NXT stars and four main roster stars that ended in July with the finals seeing Seth Rollins going over Jinder Mahal in the finals.
