Former WWE Superstar Tito Santana's days in the classroom are over after retiring from teaching this week.

Santana is best known for his time in WWE, where he is a two-time Intercontinental Champion and two-time World Tag Team Champion. Santana also became King of the Ring in 1989, and would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the 2004 class, and was inducted by WrestleMania VIII opponent Shawn Michaels.

One of the very few wrestlers to remain a babyface throughout his entire career, Santana was a staple of the early years of Vince McMahon's World Wrestling Federation. Santana would compete at the nine WrestleManias, and still competes on the independent circuit to this day.

When not competing in the ring, Santana has spent years teaching Spanish at Eisenhower Middle School in Roxbury Township, New Jersey. Santana has been teaching under his real name Merced Solis. This week, the former WWE Superstar retired from teaching, and his last day as a teacher was this past Thursday.

Prior to teaching Spanish, Santana was also a physical education teacher for Smalley Elementary School in Bound Brook, New Jersey. The man once known as 'El Matador' Santana has been able to mix his love for teaching and his love for professional wrestling, as he also teaches wrestling classes at the New Jersey-based Independent Wrestling Federation.
