WWE SmackDown Superstar Bayley is relieved that she will not be putting her spot in the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match on the line.
During the June 9, episode of WWE SmackDown, Bayley earned her spot in the upcoming ladder match with a win over 'Michin' Mia Yim. Bayley will face off against Zelina Vega, Becky Lynch, Zoey Stark, Trish Stratus, and Damage CTRL ally IYO SKY during next Saturday's Premium Live Event.
Prior to this week's SmackDown, it was announced that Bayley would be defending her spot in the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder match against Shotzi. Shotzi had also failed to qualify for the match during the June 9, episode of SmackDown after losing to IYO SKY.
The match between Shotzi and Bayley was cut from this week's SmackDown without any explanation being given on TV. This was just one of the major changes made to this week's edition of the Blue Brand, courtesy of Vince McMahon. On Twitter, Bayley reminded fans that wrestling cards are always subject to change, and reminded Shotzi that she would have won had the match taken place.

It remains unclear if WWE plan on hosting this match on the go-home episode of WWE SmackDown which will take place one day prior to WWE Money in the Bank. Bayley has competed in multiple Money in the Bank ladder matches in the past, and won the briefcase in 2019. The Role Model would cash in later that night to start her first of two reigns as WWE SmackDown Women's Champion.
WWE Money in the Bank 2023 will take place on July 1, from the O2 Arena in London, England.
