WWE Hall of Famer Edge joined a club featuring some of the all-time greats following his appearance on the latest episode of SmackDown.
The July 7, 2023, episode of SmackDown saw Edge be the latest guest on the Grayson Waller Effect and was quickly at odds with the host. After Waller 'announced' that Edge was planning to announce his retirement, Edge revealed that he isn't retiring, and would instead face Waller on the show. Later in the night, Edge defeated Waller, and said that the Australian 'swam' after previously calling the match a 'sink or swim' opportunity for the young star.

Given that last week's show took place in the historic Madison Square Garden, it shouldn't be too much of a surprise that Edge was in action. The stomping ground of WWE for decades, the company often tries to make events in MSG extra special.
As revealed by PWI's Brian Solomon, Edge became the seventh wrestler in history to compete inside the World's Most Famous Arena across four decades.
Edge first competed in the Garden at Summerslam 1998, where he and Sable teamed up to defeat Marc Mero and Jaqueline. Edge would return to the famous arena in January 2000 for that year's Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
During a WWE Live Event on June 19, 2010, Edge returned to MSG as part of a cross-branded event with Raw and SmackDown. During the show, Randy Orton would defeat Edge, but the Rated-R Superstar would be part of a team of Superstars to make the save in the main event when both John Cena and Sheamus were attacked by the Nexus.
Edge is the latest member of this illustrious four-decade club. He joins Kola Kwariani (1920s-50s,) Ray 'The Crippler' Stevens (1950s-80s,) Arnold Skaaland (1950s-80s,) Bob Backlund (1970s-2000s,) Hulk Hogan (1970s-2000s,) and 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper (1970s-2000s.)
