The long-awaited in-ring debut of Gable Steveson will take place later this week at NXT's Great American Bash.
Steveson made headlines in 2021 when he signed with WWE, becoming only the second Olympic Gold Medalist to ink a deal with the promotion (the first being Kurt Angle.) Later that year, Steveson was drafted to Monday Night Raw, despite not having a match on TV at the time. Steveson is yet to compete but did perform a suplex on Chad Gable at WrestleMania 38 in April 2022.
Steveson debuted in NXT a few weeks ago, helping Eddy Thorpe train for his Raw Underground match against Gable's brother Damon Kemp. This week, Steveson returned to the gold brand and drew quite a reaction from the crowd in Florida.
Steveson teased his options of going for another Olympic Gold Medal in Paris next year or going back to college for a third national championship. Baron Corbin would interrupt to encourage Steveson to go back to college or the Olympics, adding that he will make sure Gable fails if he goes to NXT.

Steveson said that made his decision so much easier before declaring that he will wrestle at the upcoming Great American Bash against Corbin. Ironically, Corbin will wrestle this Olympic Gold Medalist in is debut and also wrestled Kurt Angle in the 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist's final match in 2019.
NXT Great American Bash will take place on July 30, from the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park in Cedar Park, Texa
