Brian Pillman Jr. is has signed a WWE contract and is scheduled to attend Tuesday's edition of NXT TV from Orlando, according to PWInsider.
He's the son of the late Brian Pillman, the legendary and controversial grappler who passed away in October 1997.
Pillman Jr. wrestled for All Elite Wrestling from the company's inception in 2019 through May 2023. His final match for the promotion took place on May 13. In a match comprised of all second-generation wrestlers, he and Brock Anderson lost to The Gunns (Austin & Colten Gunn) at the House Rules live event from Salem, Virginia.
He's been wrestling on the independent scene since then. Shortly after AEW contract expired last month, Pillman teased he had a "huge opportunity" coming up.
Pillman Jr. was spotted the WWE Performance Center in mid-July.
We'll see if he appears on this week's edition of NXT TV. If not, it should only be a matter of time before he's thrown into the mix on WWE's developmental brand.
