Nia Jax could be making her return to WWE very soon judging by recent rumblings behind the scenes.
Jax was released from WWE in November 2021, which came as a surprise to fans considering her consistent booking on TV. At the time of her release, some had stated that Jax's stance on vaccines was a factor in her release, but Jax clarified that WWE did not mention vaccinations when informing her of her release. Jax admitted after her release that it would be "highly unlikely" that she would wrestle again.
There has been talk within WWE about Jax returning to the copmany soon, according to PWInsider. During her six-year stint with WWE, Nia Jax became a Raw Women's Champion and two-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champion (both times with Shayna Baszler. In June, it was reported that Jax had been back in the ring and training for an in-ring return.
Nia Jax has only competed one time since her release from WWE, that being as part of this year's Women's Royal Rumble match. At the time it was believed that she had signed a new deal with WWE, with the company going as far as to make a new shirt for the former champion. However, no deal was reached.
Jax was also supposed to be a part of 'Wrestling Entertainment Series,' the doomed promotion of fellow WWE alum the Authors of Pain. Jax was scheduled to face CJ 'Lana' Perry to crown the first WES Women's Champion in June of last year, but the event would ultimately be canceled. It is believed that incredibly low ticket sales for the Nottingham, UK show led to AOP pulling the plug.
