Would the team of Logan Paul and NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio prove to be the most despised tag team in wrestling history?
Paul has certainly received a less-than-warm response from the WWE Universe since his debut with the promotion in early 2021. The following year, Paul made his WrestleMania in-ring debut, teaming with The Miz, who promptly betrayed The Maverick after the match. Despite a brief face run and challenging Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel 2022, Paul has for the most part leaned into being loathed by the fans.
Logan Paul may not be the most-loathed individual in WWE, as that title may belong to Dominik Mysterio. Since turning on his father at WWE Clash at the Castle, the reigning NXT North American Champion has constantly drawn the ire of fans, including calling his father a 'deadbeat.' Dominik recently confirmed his fall to the dark side by getting a 'Villano' neck tattoo.
Dominik and Paul have only shared the ring twice thus far. The first time saw the two on opposing teams during Paul's in-ring debut, while the second saw both men compete in this year's Men's Royal Rumble match. During the latest IMPAULSIVE podcast, Paul pitched the idea of a tag team with 'Dirty Dom.'
"Dom is super heel right now... He lifts the microphone to his mouth and the whole arena [boos]. He can’t cut a promo and he plays on it and it’s really working right now, they hate him. Logan Paul, Dominik Mysterio [in a] tag team. The most hated duo of all time, the most hated tag team partners in the WWE just crushing it."
While the team would no doubt be loathed, Dominik already has a group, that being 'The Judgment Day.' Despite some tensions within the macabre faction, this week's Raw ended with the group standing tall, and a tease that JD McDonagh could be the next member.
