Last week (August 11, 2023), WWE filed four new trademark applications for the following names, once used for ECW pay-per-view events:

Hardcore Heaven
Barely Legal
Cyberslam
Massacre on 34th Street

All four applications contain the same Goods and Services usage descriptions:

Entertainment services, namely, a show about professional wrestling;
Entertainment services, namely, the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media;
Providing wrestling news and information through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media;
Providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media;
Providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information

These trademarks don't necessarily mean WWE is reviving these shows for future premium live events. However, we have seen WWE utilize legacy event names like Halloween Havoc and the Great American Bash for NXT PLE's, so anything is possible.

WWE brings WrestleMania 40 to Philadelphia next April, the home of extreme. WrestleMania weekend is expected to feature some sort of ECW tie-in, such as ECW alums being inducted into WWE Hall of Fame.

WWE has already announced a price 'ECW Experience' for fans attending WrestleMania 40.
