John Cena is set to return to WWE television next month.
The 16-time World Champion will appear on the September 1 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, as first reported by Fox Sports. The show takes place from Hershey, PA at The Giant Center.
WWE has since confirmed that Cena will also head to India the following week for an appearance at Superstar Spectacle on Friday, September 8 from India's GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium.
Cena's most recent match for WWE took place back at WrestleMania 39, when he unsuccessfully challenged Austin Theory for the United States Championship.
Last month, he made a surprise appearance at Money in the Bank and dropped a bombshell on the audience by revealing his mission to bring WrestleMania to London some time in the next few years.
WWE has yet to announce exactly what Cena will be doing at SmackDown and Superstar Spectacle. However, Cena's new action movie Freelance hits theaters October 6, so he might be there to plug that project.
