WWE's return to India for their first event in years was far from an easy ride for the Superstars.

Last week saw WWE host its second-ever Superstar Spectacle, and its first event in India since a 2017 live event. This year's show was headlined by World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and John Cena defeating Imperium's Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci in Cena's first match since WrestleMania 39.

PW Insider reports that the trip to India and back was a difficult one for the Superstars and the crew. The Superstars experienced 19-hour flights each way and were thrust into interviews and media appearances immediately upon landing in India. Despite the exhausting nature of the trip, it was added that the “atmosphere live was absolutely insane and loud in terms of electricity.”

While India has yet to host a WWE Premium Live Event, the promotion has grown more accustomed to hosting major events outside of the United States. Last September, WWE hosted Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales, marking WWE's first internationally broadcasted PLE in the UK since SummerSlam 1992. The show proved to be a huge success, one that WWE was paid close to $3 million by the local government to host.

In July of this year, WWE hosted its Money in the Bank Premium Live Event in London, England, which also proved to be a huge success. That event saw John Cena tease WrestleMania coming to London, though nothing has been confirmed at this time.
