Becky Lynch has added the NXT Women's Championship to her trophy cabinet, winning the title on this week's episode of the gold brand.

Lynch's beef with now-former champion Tiffany Stratton began when Stratton cut a promo about former NXT Women's Champions she intended to be greater than. In the promo, Stratton incorrectly listed Lynch as a former champion, and The Man teased going after the title. The two would also share an interaction at Payback 2023 earlier this month.

Prior to the match, Lynch was part of a backstage segment with Lyra Valkyria, who wished her fellow Irishwoman the best of luck with her title match. Valkyria had defeated Dana Brooke earlier in the night.

In the main event, Stratton overpowered Lynch in the early proceedings and was able to avoid a Disarm-Her by Lynch. A knee to the gut again gave Stratton the advantage during another lock-up, but Lynch would bounce back with a stiff forearm, before being knocked to the arena floor.

Gaining the momentum following a commercial break, Lynch would hit a missile dropkick for a two-count and was able to cut off Stratton's attempt for the Prettiest Moonsault Ever. Stratton's second attempt to hit the move would see Lynch catch her with a Russian Leg Sweep.

After a table spot in which the announce desk did not break, the closing moments would see Stratton reverse the Manhandle Slam into a two-count. A third PME would also be missed and Lynch would catch Stratton with the Manhandle Slim to get the win and the title.

With her win, Lynch becomes the fourth and final Horsewoman of WWE to hold the NXT Women's Championship. Charlotte Flair first held the gold in 2014, while Sasha Banks and Bayley would both capture the gold the following year. Flair would enjoy a second reign in 2020.
