WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 will take place in Perth, Australia on February 24, the promotion has announced.

On Thursday morning AEST, WWE confirmed that the 14th event under the Elimination Chamber name will take place at Optus Stadium, a venue that can hold up to 70,000 fans. The venue has been used for concerts, Australian Football League games, and cricket since opening its doors five years ago.

News of Elimination Chamber 2024 comes days after it was reported that WWE was finalizing an agreement to bring an event to Perth in 2024. WWE staples The New Day were on hand to make the announcement official.

WWE has hosted just one other stadium show in Australia, that being the 2018 Super Showdown event inside the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The show was headlined by the final singles collision between Triple H & The Undertaker and saw Australian-born talent including Buddy Murphy and The IIconics in action.

WWE first toured Australia in 1985, visiting Melbourne, Perth, and Newcastle, and would tour Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth & Adelaide the following year. It'd be over 15 years before Australian WWE fans got to see live action, with the 'Global Warning Tour' happening in the summer of 2002.

WWE is home to many Superstars who come from Australia. This includes reigning WWE Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley, Indi Hartwell, 'Big' Bronson Reed, Emma, and Grayson Waller.
