Cody Rhodes' next major feud in WWE could be against the Nigerian Giant Omos, judging by what transpired at a recent WWE live event.

Since returning to WWE, Rhodes has been featured prominently, with his first feud being against Seth Rollins in mid-2022. Following his return from his torn pectoral, Rhodes would feud with Roman Reigns, culminating in their shocking main event at WrestleMania 39. Rhodes would quickly move into a feud with Brock Lesnar, competing at three Premium Live Events against the Beast, and has also had issues with Dominik Mysterio & The Judgment Day.

During last night's WWE live event in Palm Springs, California, Rhodes was a guest on MVP's 'V.I.P Lounge' segment, in which a feud with Omos was teased. Later in the show, Rhodes competed against 'Dirty Dom' in a Street Fight, albeit one that didn't see the NXT North American Championship on the line. Rhodes would win the match, despite interference from both Omos and MVP.

WWE has often used live events to test the waters for feuds on TV by gauging the crowd reactions at the shows to determine whether a story can work on programming.

Rhodes and Omos have never faced off in a match either on TV or at a WWE live event. The closest the pair have come to facing off was as part of this year's Men's Royal Rumble match, though Omos (the #26 entrant) had been eliminated by the time Rhodes entered at the coveted #30 spot. Omos' most recent prominent feud saw the giant square off with Brock Lesnar, a feud that Omos couldn't believe he'd received at first.
