WWE was willing to offer refunds to fans disappointed that LA Knight wouldn't be appearing at a recent WWE event.

Knight was forced to miss this week's SmackDown, after testing positive for COVID-19. The original plan for the show would've seen Knight align with John Cena, who challenged Solo Sikoa & Jimmy Uso to a match at Fastlane. Instead, AJ Styles was positioned as Cena's partner but was attacked by The Bloodline during the show. Cena himself would be laid out by Sikoa and Uso to close out the show.

Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline reports that after it was determined that Knight would miss last Saturday's live event, WWE informed ticket-holders and offered refunds before the doors opened. Meltzer stated that WWE will only announce a no-show if it's a top star, (e.g. Roman Reigns or Seth Rollins,) which tells you how highly Knight is viewed within the promotion.

It was suggested that this could be a new policy from Endeavor, the new owners of WWE, as in other forms of entertainment, you would tell fans and the media about a star not appearing. WWE was also telling media outlets on Friday night about Knight's condition, in another break from tradition given that WWE has in the past tried to keep positive COVID tests a secret.

Depending on Knight's health and if he recovers in time, the 'megastar' could still appear at WWE Fastlane. During this week's Raw, it was announced that Cena will go it alone in a handicap match against Sikoa and Uso at the event.
