John Cena is scheduled to face Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa at WWE Fastlane, but a tag team partner is reportedly on the way.
WWE is planning for Cena to pair up with LA Knight, according to Fightful Select. Knight is currently away from WWE recovering from COVID-19, but the report indicates that as long as he's healthy, he'll be the one that evens the odds for Cena at the PLE.
Knight was set to have a major moment on Friday's episode of WWE Smackdown. Cena was attacked by Jimmy and Solo and laid out at the end of the show as things faded to black. Knight was scheduled to make the save for Cena in that moment, but was pulled from the show on Friday due to the positive COVID-19 test.
LA Knight has seen a surge of momentum behind him since January of this year. Most recently, he wrapped up a feud with The Miz that saw him appear on both Raw and Smackdown. Knight secured multiple wins against The Miz throughout that program.
Knight is now reportedly in line for a major push in WWE due to his newfound popularity.
