LA Knight is expected to make his return to WWE SmackDown on tonight's show after missing last week's episode due to a positive COVID-19 test.
Knight's positive test resulted in him being pulled from last week's show and the original plan was for the 'megastar' to align with John Cena. In his place, AJ Styles aligned himself with the 16-time WWE World Champion against The Bloodline.
WWE sources confirmed to PW Insider that Knight is expected to return at tonight's show that will take place in Sacramento, California.
As to what Knight will do on SmackDown, it's possible that WWE could go back to their original plans with Cena. While Styles was set to team with Cena, the Phenomenal One was attacked before a contract signing to make a tag-team match with The Bloodline official for Fastlane. At this time, WWE is promoting a handicap match for their upcoming Premium Live Event, pitting Cena against Solo Sikoa & Jimmy Uso.

Tonight's show will also see Charlotte Flair face Damage CTRL's Bayley after Flair attacked Bayley on last week's show. Grayson Waller will bring his Grayson Waller Effect talk show to Sacramento with former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley as his guest.
Tonight's SmackDown will also see gold on the line as U.S. Champion Rey Mysterio will defend against LWO ally Santos Escobar. Mysterio won the title earlier this year against Austin Theory after replacing the injured Escobar.
