LA Knight has proven to be a 'megastar' when it comes to merchandise, eclipsing some of the biggest names of WWE's past and present.
Knight is one of the most popular Superstars currently on the roster in quite the turnaround from the subdued reactions he was receiving when he arrived on SmackDown. When Knight was recently unable to appear at a WWE Live Event, WWE informed attendees and offered refunds, an act typically reserved for only those on the very top of the card.
Wrestlenomics reports that Knight has had 71 items in the daily top-10 rankings on WWE's online shop, and that his black 'YEAH' shirt has spent 30 days on the top-10 bestsellers list. Knight has surpassed some of the top names when it comes to merchandise sales, including John Cena, Cody Rhodes and WWE Hall of Famer 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin. It should be noted that Wrestlenomics was not able to factor in the volume of sales of the merchandise, as the study was strictly based on traffic generated by Knight and his "YEAH" shirt.
Knight has eclipsed John Cena when it comes to merch but the two will team together at this weekend's Fastlane Premium Live Event. Knight aligned himself with Cena on last week's SmackDown and will face Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso. Knight and WWE are said to be currently negotiating a new long-term deal for the megastar but the most recent report said that the two sides were far apart when it comes to money.
