A huge return is reportedly in the works for tonight's Fastlane Premium Live Event, as teased during this week's episode of WWE SmackDown.
WWE Fastlane 2023 will take place tonight from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. The seventh Fastlane event, the show will be the first PLE since the launch of TKO Group Holdings and will be the first PLE in Indianapolis since Clash of Champions 2016.
During this week's WWE SmackDown Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro of the LWO were attacked by Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits. Either Wilde or Del Toro were supposed to team with Rey Mysterio & Santos Escobar at Fastlane to face Lashley and the Profits. Backstage, Mysterio was seen making a call to someone to become the group's third teammate.

PW Insider reports that the angle with Wilde & Del Toro was done specifically to bring Carlito back to WWE programming as the partner of Rey & Escobar. The former U.S, Intercontinental, and Tag Team Champion returned to WWE programming at WWE Backlash, and it was exclusively reported by SE Scoops shortly after that he had signed a contract with the company.
