In a recent WWE post-Fastlane press conference, Triple H addressed the departure of Edge, who has since resurfaced in AEW under his real name, Adam Copeland. Edge leaving WWE marked the end of a storied career, and Triple H shed light on the reasons behind this decision.

According to Triple H, the departure was a matter of timing. He expressed that the time was right for both Edge and WWE. Edge had enjoyed an illustrious career in WWE, including a remarkable comeback, and it seemed that he had achieved all there was to achieve. Triple H acknowledged the incredible sendoff Edge received in WWE and respected his decision to move on.

Triple H emphasized that there are no hard feelings or animosity between Edge and WWE. He wished Edge the best and sent him a heartfelt message expressing his happiness and pride for the wrestler.

The wrestling business is undeniably a demanding grind, requiring immense dedication and hard work. Triple H stressed the importance of making the right choices for oneself and one's family. If an individual believes that a different opportunity aligns better with their goals and priorities, then that's a valid decision.

However, he made it clear that WWE is an ever-evolving machine, and the show must go on. Edge's departure opens doors for new talent to step up and seize opportunities. Young wrestlers within WWE are undoubtedly inspired by Edge's journey, and his move to AEW serves as a reminder that spots in the industry are earned.

“That creates opportunity, Everybody will step up their game to fill that role. And there’s a line of people way more than capable of taking it to the next level, just like he was when he came in here.”
