Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Jey Uso & Cody Rhodes have proven to be popular with fans, especially at the merchandise stand.
Jey was brought to Monday Night Raw by Cody at WWE Payback, after quitting SmackDown the previous month. Since coming to Raw, Jey has been one of the most prominently featured Superstars.
At WWE Fastlane, Jey captured the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships with Cody Rhodes, kicking off Jey's first tag title reign in WWE without his brother. By capturing the tag team titles, Jey and Cody are now free to appear and compete on both Raw and SmackDown.
Fightful Select reports that Jey Uso is held in high regard within WWE and that his merchandise sales reflect his position. Recent live event merchandise reports reveal that Uso's merchandise sold "exceptionally well" at events towards the end of September. WWE reportedly has big plans for Jey Uso as a singles Superstar, and the Tag Team Champion is living up to the company's expectations.
It's not just Jey Uso who is excelling when it comes to merchandise sales. The report adds that Cody Rhodes merch is also doing very well. While this is to be expected given the high position of the American Nightmare, Fightful adds that Cody is outselling WWE-branded merchandise, in what is a rarity given that expensive items such as championship titles are considered WWE-brand items.
