Two major championship matches will headline next week's season premiere episode of WWE Raw.
GUNTHER will put his record WWE Intercontinental Championship reign on the line against Bronson Reed after Reed qualified for a shot at the title on Monday Night Raw this week. Reed defeated Ricochet and Chad Gable in a triple threat match to earn his title shot.
After losing their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships at the Fastlane PLE on Saturday night, The Judgement Day will get a rematch for the belts against Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso. Rhodes and Uso became champions at Fastlane, but agreed to defend the titles in the main event of this week's Raw against Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens. Rhodes and Uso won the match.
In addition to the championship matches, two other bouts were also made official for the Raw season premiere. First, Piper Niven will square off against Natalya. Niven and Natalya faced off backstage on Raw this week after Nattie threatened Niven's tag team partner, Chelsea Green. Green and Niven are the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.
Rhea Ripley will face Shayna Baszler next week as well. Ripley forced her way into Adam Pearce's office this week on Raw and demanded that her division be sorted out. Ripley then asked for a match against Baszler and Pearce obliged.
Finally, Shinsuke Nakamura will face Ricochet in a Falls Count Anywhere Match next week.
