The new season of WWE Friday Night Smackdown and Monday Night Raw is almost here. The company is preparing to deliver a stacked show for both brands' upcoming shows. Notably, on the next WWE Monday Night Raw, there will be two title matches.
The October 13 episode of WWE Friday Night Smackdown will have the return of Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. He has been off TV for the last few weeks as the rest of The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso) terrorize the Smackdown brand. It's unclear what will happen, but Reigns will likely not be happy with The Bloodline's loss to John Cena and LA Knight at WWE Fastlane on October 7.
WWE fans should expect an in-ring segment with Reigns addressing The Bloodline for their recent defeat and Uso's actions since the dominant champion has been off TV.
The October 13 show will also have Triple H making an announcement. He rarely makes appearances on TV, so it should be interesting to see what he will say. One of the featured matches in the upcoming WWE Friday Night Smackdown has the in-ring return of Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) taking on The Brawling Brutes (Butch & Ridge Holland).
While the season premiere of WWE Friday Night Smackdown looks like an exciting episode, the company has an even more stacked show for WWE Monday Night Raw on October 16.
Next week's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw has four matches, including championship matches official for next week. While the company has announced the matches for the October 16 episode, it is possible more bouts could be added.
One of the title matches will have a rematch between Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso and The Judgment Day (Damian Priest & Finn Balor). The champions defeated the "heel" team at WWE Fastlane to win the titles. Rhea Ripley and Balor asked for a rematch in the upcoming episode as they hope to bring gold back to the faction.

Another championship match set for the card has WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther defending his title against "Big" Bronson Reed. The challenger won a triple threat match against Chad Gable and Ricochet on the October 9 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw.

The show will also continue other storylines set up on the recent episode of the Raw brand. Rhea Ripley will try to get revenge on Shayna Baszler in a non-title match, after Baszler attacked her on the October 9 episode. Ricochet is another star looking for payback as he will face Nakamura in a Falls Count Anywhere on next week's show. He has been on the receiving end of a beating from the former two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, but he was able to attack Nakamura backstage in the recent episode.
Both shows look interesting to start the new season. Hopefully, WWE can deliver these kinds of shows for the rest of the year as the company prepares for the "Road To WrestleMania" season.
