The war for viewers and ratings will return next month when WWE SmackDown & AEW Collision go head-to-head.
November 17, 2023, will see SmackDown battle with Collision when AEW's newest show is moved to Friday from its usual Saturday spot. Both shows will air from 8 to 10 p.m. This move also means fans will see three consecutive hours of AEW programming, as AEW Rampage will air from 10 to 11 p.m.
The November 17, SmackDown will take place at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana. The Collision/Rampage taping will take place from the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California. The following night, AEW will host its Full Gear pay-per-view.
AEW President Tony Khan will be hoping for a much better result than this week's Tuesday Night War between WWE NXT & AEW Dynamite. That war saw NXT win comfortably, earning 921,000 viewers to Dynamite's 609,000. Khan had plenty to say both before and after the head-to-head battle, with his comments about John Cena & The Undertaker taking those in AEW by surprise.
