Nick Aldis will be making his debut on WWE programming tonight in what will be the start of a recurring role for him on TV.

After finishing with IMPACT Wrestling earlier this year, it was reported that WWE was greatly interested in the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion. Aldis was brought in for a tryout as a WWE producer and (alongside Robert Roode) has been working behind the scenes at WWE shows.

Aldis will be a part of WWE programming going forward, according to PW Insider. The plan is for the British wrestler to serve as an on-screen authority figure for the SmackDown brand going forward. While it's unclear how exactly WWE will introduce Aldis, it's possible that Triple H will be the one to deliver the news, given that the Game has been confirmed for tonight's 'season premiere' of SmackDown.

Aldis' WWE debut will just be part of tonight's stacked episode of the blue brand. Tonight's show will also see the return of Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, who hasn't appeared since the August 11, post-SummerSlam episode of SmackDown.

Tonight's show will also see the in-ring return of Pretty Deadly who will take on the Brawling Brutes. Elton Prince suffered a shoulder injury when facing the Brutes in July of this year which has kept him out of action. Fresh off his and LA Knight's victory at WWE Fastlane last weekend, John Cena will also be appearing on tonight's show.

Cody vs Roman with special guest referee Dwayne (my guess would be EC chamber because they'd need a huge match to sell out that big arena in a remote venue)
Then Roman vs Rock at wrestlemania because Roman feels like Dwayne fucked him over. No idea who Cody would face, maybe Jey
