Kevin Owens is excited to be part of the SmackDown roster but will miss teaming with his friend Sami Zayn.

On the August 11, episode of WWE SmackDown, Jey Uso quit the blue brand after being betrayed by his brother Jimmy at SummerSlam. After weeks of not appearing on TV, Jey would be brought to Raw by Cody Rhodes at last month's Payback Premium Live Event.

After Jey's move to Raw was announced, it was stated that SmackDown would be receiving a Superstar from the red brand in exchange for the 'Ucey' Superstar.

On this week's SmackDown, fans found out which Raw Superstar will be working on the blue brand going forward. During an in-ring segment between NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio & SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, Kevin Owens was revealed as the new SmackDown talent and hit 'Dirty Dom' with a stunner.

During a WWE Digital Exclusive, Owens said he is pleased to be on SmackDown but is going to miss teaming with Sami Zayn who will remain on Monday Night Raw.

"I'm excited to be on SmackDown, it's bittersweet. You know, my tag-team partner and friend Sami Zayn is still on Raw. I think that effectively ends our partnership, for now anyway. So that's a hard one to take but what can you do? I'm here on SmackDown and I'm going to make the best of it."
