Nick Aldis is making a very good impression now that he is under contract with WWE.

Aldis made his WWE TV debut during this week's episode of SmackDown where he was introduced as the blue brand's new General Manager. The segment also saw Adam Pearce be appointed the new General Manager of Raw while Kevin Owens was moved to SmackDown in exchange for Jey Uso. Jey quit the blue brand in August and joined Raw as part of last month's Payback event.

After previously working backstage as a producer on a trial basis, Aldis is officially under contract with WWE, Fightful Select has learned. Aldis was not listed on the SmackDown producer reports, and it is currently unclear if he will continue in the role.

Adam Pearce has been producing and appearing on-screen for years, so Aldis performing both duties is not an impossibility. While MVP was brought back to WWE in 2020 as a producer, the COVID-19 pandemic meant that WWE didn't need as many producers (due to a lack of touring) and was moved exclusively to an on-screen role.

Those backstage in WWE have taken to Aldis, who was described as "easy to work with." The former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion is "willing to make the most of the WWE opportunity." Others have said that Aldis is eager to make things work in whatever role he was given by the promotion.
