Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel oversaw Vince McMahon's removal from WWE's creative process leaving the 78-year-old as "just an employee", it has been claimed.

In April, news broke that Endeavor were to acquire WWE as part of a $9.3 billion deal. In September, the deal was finalized and TKO Group Holdings was launched, which consists of both WWE & UFC.

During the announcement of the Endeavor deal, McMahon said he would not be "in the weeds" of WWE's creative process and would make very few changes. Despite this, McMahon was heavily involved with the much-maligned post-WrestleMania Raw and has made changes to subsequent shows.

Last week, it was reported that McMahon had been removed from WWE's creative team and that Triple H had been 'knighted' by Endeavor as the unquestionable head of creative. During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Emanuel had overseen McMahon's exit from creative.

"He’s out of creative. I mean, it’s a big story because Ari Emanuel, when they were on the verge of closing the deal, and had actually closed the deal in April, went around and did media rounds. ‘Vince will be in charge of the company, and if I and Vince have a disagreement, it goes the way Vince wants because Vince is the guy.’

"Vince is out of creative because of Ari Emanuel. So this is a really interesting thing because it is the first time that [he's not got that power.]"

Meltzer compared McMahon's situation to his father Vince Sr. being "just an employee" of Vince Jr. in 1984 when the current TKO Chairman purchased the company. It was added that McMahon's role with WWE has been "clearly marginalized."
