The odds will be stacked against Rhea Ripley next month when she defends her WWE Women’s World Championship at Crown Jewel 2023.
Ripley's reign began at WrestleMania 39 in April, when she captured the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship on Night One by defeating Charlotte Flair. In June, after Ripley was drafted to Raw, the title was rechristened the WWE Women’s World Championship and features a new design similar to the men’s World Heavyweight Championship.

During this week’s season premiere of Raw, a match between Ripley and Shayna Baszler ended with Zoey Stark laying out Ripley for the DQ. Nia Jax & Raquel Rodriguez, who have both had their issues with Ripley would also get involved. Jax would attack Rodriguez, sending her crashing into the ring steps.
After Ripley complained to Adam Pearce, demanding he get the situation under control, the new Raw General Manager announced that Ripley would defend her gold at Crown Jewel. The Eradicator will defend the title against Zoey Stark, Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, and Raquel Rodriguez in Riyadh.
Ripley's title defense is the second match confirmed for next month's Premium Live Event from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The show will also see WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth 'Freakin' Rollins defend against Drew McIntyre.
A match between Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and LA Knight is also expected to be added to the card but has not been made official yet. Fans are also expecting a U.S. Title match between Rey Mysterio and Logan Paul after the Maverick recently called out the WWE Hall of Famer. Paul will be on this Friday's SmackDown.
