Declan McMahon won't rule out the possibility of one day joining the family business and taking on an in-ring role with WWE.

Declan was first seen by wrestling fans during the opening moments of WrestleMania 20 as an infant alongside his father Shane and grandfather Vince, tying into the show's 'Where It All Begins... Again' theme. At WrestleMania 32, Declan McMahon joined his brothers to accompany his father during his entrance ahead of Shane's Hell in a Cell match with The Undertaker.

These days, Declan McMahon is a running back for the Indiana Hoosiers but that doesn't mean he'll never work with WWE. Speaking to WU Online, Declan was asked about joining his family's Sports Entertainment empire one day.

“I was born into the business... I’m never ruling it out. I would love get in the ring a couple times, but you have to see if the opportunity presents itself, it’s all about the story.

"I think a lot of fans would get behind it if we ended up doing it. I think I would be pretty good at it. You never know, never ruling an option out."

Declan added that for now, his focus is on football and his studies and that when it comes to WWE "we'll play it by ear."

Declan appeared in the crowd of WWE Fastlane earlier this month, which took place in Indianapolis, Indiana. WWE's first PLE in Indiana since 2016, Fastlane 2023 saw the return of Carlito and also saw WWE break records for viewership, gate, and sponsorship revenue.
