In recent weeks, WWE has changed the seating arrangements at the Allstate Arena to allow for more fans to attend the 2023 edition of Survivor Series, but now it appears as if changes are being made to the card as well.
WrestleVotes is reporting that the War Games match scheduled to take place at the show was slated to be a match strictly comprised of talent from Monday Night Raw. The feeling now reportedly is that the strategy around the match has changed and may feature Smackdown talent too.

It's an interesting pivot when you look at what has been going on with each of the major factions on both shows. A few weeks back on Smackdown, Rhea Ripley from Judgement Day was shown backstage talking to Paul Heyman of The Bloodline. This led to rumors that both heel factions from each show would team together to take on a group of fighting babyfaces.
More recently, the group warfare surrounding Judgement Day strictly lived on Raw with the group going up against aligned babyfaces like Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, and Drew McIntyre. This week on Raw, Ripley teased that McIntyre could be joining her group.
WWE Survivor Series will air live on Peacock on Saturday November 25 from Chicago. Matches for the show have not been announced, but WWE has sold out the arena and the added seats that were opened for sale due to demand.
War Games was a stipulation match added to the event last year for the first time in WWE main roster history.
