WWE Superstar Ricochet may have suffered a concussion during this week's episode of Monday Night Raw.
During the November 6, 2023, episode of Raw, Ricochet competed in a fatal four-way to determine Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER's next challenger. The finish of the match saw a double pin attempt, with The Miz pinning 'Big' Bronson Reed' while Ivar pinned Ricochet. The One and Only kicked out of the pinfall while Reed did not, giving The Miz the win.

On commentary, Michael Cole called the spot a double pin, making it seem like both pinfalls should have gone to three. During , Bryan Alvarez said that the finish was not what was originally planned.
"Everyone in the ring is confused, they’re all looking around like, ‘what the hell is going on here?’ The referee is trying to stop The Miz from celebrating and trying to stop the ring announcer for announcing The Miz as the winner."
Alvarez added that Ricochet had been tested for a concussion and shared his belief that Ricochet was not meant to kick out.
"I am 99% positive that Ricochet was supposed to be pinned, but he kicked out, because he was messed up. Everyone is confused, and the referee makes a deal and it ends up with Ivar laying out The Miz afterward and destroying him with a giant moonsault and leaving him for dead. The crowd chants ‘You suck’ … Ricochet was led off, and he is in the concussion protocol.”
With his strange victory, The Miz will challenge GUNTHER for the Intercontinental Championship at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames. The two are often discussed when the topic of the greatest IC Champions of the modern era comes up, given GUNTHER's record-long reign and The Miz's eight reigns (more than any other current WWE Superstar.)
