R-Truth plans to come back to WWE. The former United States Champion has been on the shelf after suffering a devastating injury while working a match down in NXT.

Truth tore his quad while doing a dive over the top rope to Grayson Waller and has been out of action since.

On Wednesday, R-Truth shared a selfie on social media of himself holding an American flag coffee mug. A fan replied to the photo with a question fans around the world are wondering?

Will R-Truth return to WWE? R-Truth simply responded with a "yes."

Truth has provided updates on his recovery since the injury, noting he needed two surgeries for his torn quad. Being 51 years young, R-Truth's WWE career has stood the test of time as the star has shown he is capable of playing any role that is asked of him.

In recent years, Truth has notoriously been associated the now defunct WWE 24/7 Title and has flourished as a mostly comedic act. However, Truth has been able to show his ability as a serious act. Over a decade ago, he, along with The Miz, found himself in a high-profile feud with John Cena and The Rock.

R-Truth first started with WWE all the way back in 1999, originally going by K-Kwik and being paired with Road Dogg Brian James. He was eventually released in 2001 and found singles star success as a member of the TNA roster, going by his real name, Ron Killings.

Truth actually became the first-ever black NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion, defeating Ken Shamrock for the title in 2002. He eventually made his return to WWE in 2008 and has been with the company since.
