Damian Priest has been seriously impressing the right people behind the scenes with his performance on WWE TV as of late.

After an impressive outing in the 2021 Royal Rumble match which saw him eliminate two former WWE Champions, Priest was called up to WWE's main roster that same month. At that year's SummerSlam, Priest won the U.S. Championship and turned heel after losing the title to Finn Balor in February 2022. Since then, Priest has been a member of the Judgment Day, a role that ironically has seen him align with Balor on WWE programming.

Priest has been earning a lot of praise internally as of late, PW Insider has learned. Management has been impressed with how hard he's worked, especially over the last several months. Priest has been "gutting through quite a few times where he's been banged up but kept going" but the report didn't give any specific matches as examples.

It was previously reported that Priest was being seen as a top-level, upper-echelon talent. Since then, Priest has won the Money in the Bank contract and has become a two-time (and current) Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion. Earlier this year, it was reported that WWE was very high on the Judgment Day's work.

With the Money in the Bank briefcase, Priest could be the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion. When Priest does cash in, the odds will be in his favor. Out of the 30 title matches that have resulted from a cash-in, 25 of those matches have seen a title change hands, giving Priest an 83% chance of becoming a champion.
