WWE CCO Paul 'Triple H' Levesque hopes to prove that talent from Mexico & Japan can succeed as Superstars in the company.

Earlier this month, it was reported that WWE has its sights set on Kazuchika Okada, and hopes to win him over with the booking of fellow Japanese wrestler Shinsuke Nakamura. This, in part, explains Nakamura's prominent role on Monday Night Raw in recent months, which has seen him challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at multiple Premium Live Events. WWE also has its eye on New Japan's Giulia and sees the reigning NJPW Strong Women's Champion as a 'priority signing.'

WWE is looking to prove that talent from outside the United States can succeed, Wrestle Purists has learned. there is a "motivation" to change the perception that there is a glass ceiling for talent, especially those coming from Japan and Mexico. Triple H is said to be "bothered" by the notion. The booking of Japan's Kairi Sane and Mexico's Dragon Lee is said to be part of the Game's efforts to change this notion.

Sane returned to WWE at Crown Jewel earlier this month and has since aligned herself with Damage CTRL. The former NXT Women's Champion was pulled from TV at her own request in 2020 and left WWE entirely the following year. She will compete this weekend at Survivor Series: WarGames.

Lee signed with WWE in late 2022 and was called up to the main roster earlier this year. WWE has been trying to present Lee as the next big masked Superstar with Rey Mysterio endorsing the former AAA World Tag Team Champion.
