Former AEW World Champion has made his return to WWE at the Survivor Series event, close to a decade after walking out of the company.
In the main event of the show, Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Jey Uso, and Sami Zayn defeated the Judgment Day & Drew McIntyre inside WarGames. The match saw an attempted cash-in by Mr. Money in the Bank Damian Priest, though his title match never officially begun. Cody Rhodes got the pinfall for his team after hitting Cross Rhodes.
In the closing moments of the show, Punk returned to his Cult of Personality theme to a massive ovation from the WWE Universe in Chicago. Punk did not get physical with any WWE Superstars at the event, and instead remained on the entrance staging.
