It has been a while since fans have heard or received an update regarding former WWE Co-CEO Stephanie McMahon. She resigned from her position on January 10 when her father, Vince McMahon, returned to the company after a brief retirement amid allegations of sexual misconduct with employees. Since her resignation and departure from the company, she has rarely appeared until today.
PWInsider's Mike Johnson reported that the former WWE Co-CEO was backstage for WWE Survivor Series on November 25. The only time she's been backstage was reportedly for WWE WrestleMania 39 this past April. While she was at the premium live event, she isn't expected to return to a role in the company.
Since she departed from the company, things have changed. WWE merged with UFC to form TKO Group Holding on September 12. McMahon remains with the company as the Executive Chairman of TKO but seemingly doesn't have the same power as he once had in WWE. Her husband, Triple H, has remained Head Of Creative and was reportedly given more control by Endeavor. It's unclear if the changes would make her want to rejoin the company, but it's certainly not the same WWE she was in prior.
However, it seems the former WWE Co-CEO seems content with stepping away from the company for good.
The report also shared several other former WWE talent that were backstage. Maryse and Tyler Breeze were backstage for the event. Johnson noted that Breeze was involved in an Instagram streaming auction for the company.
Another big talent backstage was CM Punk, who returned in front of the crowd at the end of WWE Survivor Series. He came out to a loud ovation at the end of the Men's War Games Match to end the show. It's unclear what will happen next with Punk, but fans will likely want to see what he does in WWE.
