Drew McIntyre is ready to take a break from the wrestling world, even if it means his career with WWE comes to an end.

McIntyre's WWE contract is set to expire next year. In September, McIntyre said that has no intentions to work elsewhere. It was also reported that time has been added to Drew's WWE contract due to his post-WrestleMania 39 hiatus.
Drew McIntyre's WWE Contract

WWE & McIntyre have not entered into deep discussions about a new deal, PW Insider has learned. WWE's belief is that there is still a lot of time to negotiate a new contract. While WWE is eager to re-sign Drew, McIntyre has told those close to him that he is more than willing to let his current deal lapse if necessary. With five months left on his current deal, there's plenty of time for the two sides to come to a new deal.

McIntyre is all ready to take a break from wrestling to spend time with his family as they recently suffered the loss of his wife's sister. McIntyre is said to be "more than willing" to let family come first over a new contract if there has to be a choice between the two sides. The first Scottish-born WWE Champion has also long stated that he would like to spend some extended time back in Scotland. It has been years since he's had the chance to have more than a quick visit with his family as these days he lives full-time in the United States.
