Former WWE personality Tammy 'Sunny' Sytch was overcome with emotion after being handed a 17-year sentence for her role in the death of Jullian Lasseter.
In March of last year, the 75-year-old Lasseter was killed when his vehicle was struck by Sytch, who was driving her boyfriend's vehicle at the time. Sytch was arrested the following May. Sytch had previously entered a not-guilty plea, but later pleaded no contest in August of this year.
In court, Sytch, wearing an orange jumpsuit, gave a tearful statement about what happened. Sytch mentioned the death of Chris Candido as a factor in the downturn in her life. At one point in court, Sytch turned to the family of the victim and apologized for what transpired.
“I know my words are not enough but please know that I think about you every day.”

After her prepared statement, Sytch sat down and laughed as her lawyer attempted to give her some water while she was handcuffed.
Sytch was sentenced to 10.6 years in prison for driving with a suspended license causing death. She was also sentenced to 7 years for DUI manslaughter to be served following that. After her release, she will spend eight years on probation.
She must also have a substance abuse evaluation, and perform 50 hours of community service upon her release. Sytch must also pay a $10,000 fine and her driver's license has been permanently revoked. Sytch has 30 days to file an appeal but she had no questions for the judge.
After sentencing, Sytch was escorted out of the courtroom by officials and taken back to jail to continue to serve her sentence. When released, the Hall of Famer will be 67 years old.
