Fans can expect to see AJ Styles back on WWE programming as soon as this Friday's episode of SmackDown on FOX.
The Phenomenal One has been out of action since the September 22, 2023, episode of SmackDown. During the show, Styles was confirmed as John Cena's tag-team partner for the Fastlane tag-team match against Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa. During that SmackDown, Styles was taken out with an attack by Uso and Sikoa. Instead of Styles, LA Knight teamed with Cena to defeat The Bloodline at the Premium Live Event.

Styles hasn't appeared since that episode of SmackDown but that should change soon enough. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that Styles will be back this Friday. Meltzer acknowledged that Styles was supposed to return a few weeks ago, which didn't happen but said that a return for this Friday's show is "the plan right now."
If Styles does return to programming this Friday, he won't be the only O.C. member to have made a return to action as of late. During a recent WWE live event in Allentown, PA, Luke Gallows made his return to action, teaming with Karl Anderson to face Angelo Dawkins and Bobby Lashley. Gallows had been out of action with a knee injury which prevented him from appearing on the aforementioned September 22, SmackDown.
This Friday's SmackDown will see the United States Championship Contenders Tournament begin. Karrion Kross will face Bobby Lashley while Santos Escobar will face Dragon Lee. Charlotte Flair will face Asuka while CM Punk will make an appearance.
