Pro Wrestling NOAH and WWE could be working a lot more closely in the coming months, at least if the new president of CyberFight has his way.

Yasuaki Okamoto has been appointed the new President of CyberFight Inc, the parent company of NOAH. During an introductory press conference, Okamoto shared that his goal is to strengthen the promotion's relationship with WWE.

Okamoto's appointment and goals with WWE wasn't the only major announcement. In the press conference, it was confirmed that Keiji Muto has been appointed as a NOAH scouting advisor

Muto competed for years for Pro Wrestling NOAH and is best known for his legendary tenure as The Great Muta. It's fitting that Muto was part of the same press conference in which Okamoto shared his goals in relation to WWE. In January 2023, WWE's Shinsuke Nakamura was granted the opportunity to face Muta at a NOAH show as part of the latter's retirement tour.

For a very long time, WWE refused to work with other companies though that stance has softened considerably in recent years. The 2022 Women's Royal Rumble saw then-IMPACT Knockouts Champion Mickie James while TNA Knockout World Champion Jordynne Grace was part of the 2024 match.

Even the idea of AEW and WWE working together can't be counted out, with Tony Khan being open to a 'World Cup' event featuring talent from both companies. WWE President Nick Khan is considering potential collaborations with other promotions though nothing is currently publicly confirmed to be in the works.
