Injuries are a part of pro wrestling, and one talented star is about to return. During WWE NXT this week, a video promo aired to hype Eddy Thorpe's return. Thorpe has been out of action with an injury for quite some time.
In the video hyping his return, Thorpe spoke about making the most of this opportunity. The whole time, he was around a fire, hyping himself up. He is coming back into the fold with a new burst of motivation, as he wants to showcase his skills for the world.
Thorpe wrestled for the first time since December at the NXT Level Up tapings on March 19. Since then, he has competed at NXT live events and NXT Level Up tapings, gradually getting back into the ring.
Thorpe suffered a hip injury during his NXT Underground match against Dijak in what was described as a "freak accident." He was cleared to return in late February or early March, marking the end of his recovery period.

Known as Karl Fredericks in NJPW from 2012 to 2022, Thorpe joined WWE's NXT brand in 2023. Despite his injury setback, he is now ready to compete again, bringing his experience and talent back to the NXT roster.
We will have to see if Eddy Thorpe makes his presence known at NXT Battleground. The premium live event this Sunday could provide a perfect chance for him to make his mark.
