Ethan Page is here to stay in WWE NXT after signing with the gold brand and his first match will prove to be a golden opportunity for the Canadian.
Page, who parted ways with AEW mere weeks earlier, appeared on the May 28, edition of WWE NXT and attacked Williams in the closing moments of the show. As WWE NXT went off the air, Page hoisted the NXT Championship aloft. Williams also made clear that he had been behind the attacks on Meta-Four, attacks the group had blamed Williams for.
The June 4, WWE NXT began with Page arriving to meet NXT GM Ava, Mr. Stone, and several security guards to talk about a contract. Later in the show, the 'All Ego' talent lived up to his name by demanding a better contract than anyone in NXT while promising to replace all the stars that were taken in the WWE Draft.
Trick Williams then arrived to make sure that Page signed a contract with WWE NXT and wanted Ava to set up an NXT Championship match. Page did sign as did Ava, albeit reluctantly. Their title match will take place at WWE NXT Battleground.
