WWE fans have come to expect a yearly release from 2K at this point, and they seem to be rolling after the nightmare that was 2K20. They are already gearing up for 2025.

Take-Two Interactive has announced that WWE 2K25 is in development and set for release in Fiscal 2025. This gives all appearances that the game is planned to release sometime between now and April 6th, 2025. The exact release date is unknown, but a new game is on the way.

2K isn't finished working on WWE 2K24 by a long show. They released a new patch today, including the iconic WrestleMania 40 at Lincoln Financial Field for those who bought the 40 Years of WrestleMania pack.

Patch 1.09 added the WrestleMania XL Arena in both Day and Night versions, along with server stability improvements. Previous updates included Patch 1.08, which added new entrance and victory motions for several wrestlers and made stability improvements.

Patch 1.06 fixed leaderboard loading issues in MyFACTION mode, addressed Ring Announcer settings in Title Matches, and improved MyGM mode by allowing booking of SuperStars from different tag teams in the same match. These updates aim to enhance gameplay and address community feedback.

Gamers will still have future DLC packs to pick up, starting with the "Post Malone & Friends Pack" on June 26, followed by the "Pat McAfee Show Pack" on July 24, the "Global Superstars Pack" on September 20, and the "WCW Pack" on November 13. Each pack includes new characters and MyFACTION Superstar Cards.

WWE 2K24, released on March 8, 2024, critics have praised the game for its improvements, with IGN and GameSpot both rating it 8 out of 10, Metacritic giving it 81%, and user ratings averaging 3.7 out of 5.

Cody Rhodes was on the standard edition cover, while the special edition includes Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair. They also released a special 40 Years of WrestleMania cover, which Brock Lesnar was removed from. The game is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
