Vince McMahon is prohibited from entering WWE's new headquarters despite being the one behind the idea, a former employee of the company has claimed.

WWE has made an effort to publicly distance themselves from McMahon in the wake of Janel Grant's lawsuit against both parties and John Laurinaitis. McMahon stepped down from WWE for the second time in January 2024 and unlike his 2022 exit, does not have the backstage sway to force his return. McMahon has denied all allegations of sexual abuse and trafficking made by Grant.

From 1987 until the pandemic, Tom Carlucci worked for WWE in various roles and worked closely with McMahon. During an episode of The Insiders podcast, Carlucci shared that he remains grateful for what McMahon did for him.

"I will never ever badmouth [Vince]. Now, what’s going on with Vince now, it’s a totally different story. There’s three sides to every story in my book."

Carlucci also spoke about WWE's Headquarters which opened last year. He explained that while McMahon was the brainchild behind the idea, he can't step foot in the building.

"He can’t even walk in the building... He always wanted us under one roof. That was his dream to have us under one roof. The dream came and he’s not even a part of it anymore.”

Carlucci's wife remains a WWE employee which has given him insight into how life in the new offices is like. Carlucci explained that the gym facilities were designed with McMahon in mind.

"The gym was created for Vince. He designed the gym with his trainer Mike, who I know really well. He can’t even go in that gym anymore. He can’t step foot anywhere."

McMahon spent decades sitting on the throne as the unrivaled king of WWE but now he can't even get through the front door. And with a federal probe and the Grant lawsuit, the future of the former WWE Chairman outside of wrestling remains uncertain.
