WWE NXT Superstar Javier Bernal won't be competing for some time after sharing that he is out of action with a broken foot.
Taking to Twitch, Bernal shared on Friday, June 7, that he had suffered the injury in question and that he would be requiring surgery. It is expected that this unfortunate setback will keep him out of action for up to six months.

Bernal was last in action at the NXT Level Up on June 4. At the tapings, he and Drake Morreaux lost to Chase U's Duke Hudson and Riley Osborne. In his video, Bernal shared that he got injured following the events of a dive during the match.
This is understandably a huge setback for Javier Bernal who joined WWE in 2021 and made his in-ring debut in January 2022. It wouldn't be until April of that year that Bernal would get his first win in WWE with a victory over Guru Raaj on NXT Level Up.
Bernal is the latest WWE NXT Superstar to be put on the shelf Cora Jade has been missing since the start of this year with a torn ACL. While the former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion appeared at a May live event in a non-wrestling role, fans should not take that as a sign of an imminent comeback.
Dani Palmer shared in January that she would require double hip surgery, with no timelines expected for her recovery. On April 3, Saquon Shugars shared a photo of himself in the hospital with an x-ray of his knee. The extent of his injury is unknown and as a result, it is unclear when he will be back.
On this week's episode of WWE NXT Vic Joseph announced that Karmen Petrovic was injured at a live event a few days prior. The extent of her injury is also unknown and it is unclear when she will be back. Jacy Jayne remains injured after suffering a suspected broken nose at Spring Breakin' but she appeared during the most recent NXT.
