There's no shortage of wrestlers who hope to step through the 'prohibited portal' and appear for TNA Wrestling, it has been reported.

During the May 28, episode of WWE NXT, TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace appeared and was revealed as the next challenger of WWE NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez. On this week's WWE NXT, Grace defeated Stevie Turner and her title match will take place tonight at WWE NXT Battleground.

Grace is the first woman to step through the 'prohibited portal' (a copyright-friendly take on the Forbidden Door being used on merch) but she may not be the last. Several women on WWE's roster are interested in appearing for TNA Wrestling, Fightful Select reports.

One said that she thinks it could help talent cross-promote and give themselves angles outside of WWE to generate interest. Natalya has previously mentioned Grace as someone she wants to wrestle, but with the WWE veteran's contract running out fast, that match may have to take place outside WWE.

It's not just the women who could be appearing for another company. One NXT source said former TNA World Champion Steve Maclin would be a good candidate for an NXT appearance, given that he is familiar with the gold brand. Maclin worked for WWE from 2014 to 2021 as Steve Cutler and spent years with NXT.

NXT talent have also expressed interest in working with Leon Slater, Josh Alexander, and others. At this time, there have been no publicly confirmed plans for talent from either company to appear for the other aside from Jordynne Grace at Battleground.

Should Grace win the WWE NXT Women's Championship at NXT Battleground, she will of course be appearing more for WWE NXT going forward. At TNA Against All Odds on June 14, Grace will host an open challenge for her TNA Knockouts World Championship, a match many believe will be answered by an NXT Superstar.
