Former WWE Champion Big E spoke highly of NXT North American Champion Oba Femi following the latter's impressive performance at NXT Battleground.
On last night's NXT Battleground Premium Live Event at UFC Apex, Oba Femi successfully retained his title in a triple-threat match against Joe Coffey and Wes Lee. Taking to his X account, Big E feels Nigerian wrestler is "incredible." He further stated that Femi might be his favorite pro wrestler on the planet right now. Big E also vouched for Oba Femi's push on the main roster and believes that a World title run for him is on the horizon.

The title match featured some spectacular spots. At one point, Gallus members Mark Coffey and Wolfgang interfered to give advantage to Joe Coffey. However, Oba Femi fought against the odds and showcased his dominance by taking them down. In the final moments of the match, Lee hit Cardiac Kick on Coffey but the Gallus boys interfered yet again. It was Femi who hit a huge powerbomb on Lee followed by another one on Coffey to secure the pinfall win.
Femi captured the NXT North American Championship earlier this year. After winning the NXT Breakout Tournament, he cashed in his contract on then-champion Dragon Lee and won the title. Since then the 6"4 powerhouse has been on an unstoppable run and he has remained undefeated.
Oba Femi has already impressed the higher-ups with his recent performances. Given his meteoric rise, his main roster call-up doesn't look too far away.
